On multi-user versions of Captools/net, each user is assigned one of two to five possible functional permission levels.  These permission levels determine which functions may be performed by the user.  This is desirable and often necessary in order to ensure that a user can only modify data or perform functions for which he or she has been authorized.

 

A user's permission level is assigned when his/her record is setup in the Add User function and can be later edited to change the user's permission level.  See User Administration, Adding Users and Permissions Administration for the details on changing these values.
