Captools/net's system architecture has been designed to accommodate usage in situations ranging from single users to large office, multi-user, multi-site situations.

The Captools/net software is actually a group of programs which interact with each other.  In a multi-user environment all of these programs are installed on a "Server" computer, with the exception of a specialized "client" program, called the Captools/net "Desktop", which resides on each user's computer.   This software architecture permits easy centralized management of Captools/net and permits the easy addition of users and accounts to the system simply by the upgrading of hardware or the addition of hardware.

Large Office and Multi-Office

Remote Hosting - For any of the small and large office models, your Captools/net server installation can be on a server under your direct physical control, or alternatively can be installed on a virtual machine remotely hosted on-line by a third party remote hosting solution provider.  Although remote hosting will involve additional expense, it will give you the advantages of 24/7 operation, system backups, IT oversight, as well as accessibility from any location with broadband access, a plus for those who travel often or maintain multiple offices.
