Users who want to access their Captools/net from a mobile device (e.g. Apple I-Pad or Google Android device) while out of the office can do so by install an "App" on their mobile device which allows them to remote in to their Captools/net machine.

 

One pre-requisite for this capability is that the IP address of your Captools/net machine is exposed to the internet and that it does not change.  To do this, you need to subscribe to a "fixed" IP address from your internet provider and you need to configure your internet modem to allow that IP address to be accessible from the internet as described in the topic Mapping Server IP Address.

 

Third party products which support remote access to Windows based computers are:

 

 Mochasoft Remote Desktop Lite (RDP) - for Apple I-Pad (or I-phone)

 

 XtraLogic Remote Desktop Client for Android - for Google Android based devices
